Miles Ahead launches its second fund, focused on Physical AI and Robotics
Miles Ahead is raising €75 million to back the founders building AI systems that operate in the real world, in factories, vehicles, and machines, across Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, and Ireland. This is our second fund, and it represents a deliberate and concentrated bet on Physical AI and Robotics at the early stage.

Physical AI demands a different kind of investor. Unlike software, it carries longer development cycles, deeper capital requirements, and a go-to-market complexity that punishes founders who are underprepared. Our first fund invested in twelve companies including OTIV, Trosort, AUAR, IntelliProve, and ArcNC. Every portfolio company goes through our operational playbook, a structured framework developed to accelerate go-to-market and reduce execution risk, covering both technical and commercial challenges, delivered through hands-on coaching from experienced entrepreneurs.
The second fund will back around twenty-five companies, with initial tickets of approximately €500,000 and the capacity to follow on in subsequent rounds.
"The world is shifting towards physical AI. The European industrial market for industrial physical AI is estimated at over €1.3 billion. The factory of the future is not a distant idea. Startups that can contribute to it are well positioned."
- Luc Burgelman, Founding Partner at Miles Ahead
